About Us
North Georgia Turf , Inc. is a family owned and operated business with more than 20 years experience. The company was started with the mission of total customer satisfaction in 1985 in Whitesburg, Georgia with 25 acres of certified bermudagrass. Since then NG Turf has become a name that is synonymous with quality and value providing turfgrasses to homeowners, landscape professionals, golf courses, and athletic fields.

NG Turf continues to service customers with more of the product lines needed for all applications. Currently twelve different varieties are produced including TifBlair Centipede; Rebel Supreme Fescue, Tifway, Tifway II, TifSport, and Patriot bermudagrasses; and Zeon, El Toro, Meyer, and JaMur zoysiagrasses. These varieties provide our customers with a choice that will fit their exact need.

NG Turf currently has locations surrounding Atlanta in Whitesburg, Calhoun, Heard County, Clarkesville, and Fort Valley. Grass can be picked up with as little as 1 hour notice at any location.

Georgia Sod Producers Association - an organization that provides it members with information about cutting edge equipment and techniques to produce the highest quality sod while maximizing profits.

Georgia Crop Improvement Association (GCIA) - an organization of seed producers who are interested in growing and making available to the public, through certification, high quality seeds and propagating materials of superior varieties so grown and distributed as to insure genetic purtity and identity.

Metro Atlanta Landscaper and Turf Association (MALTA) - a premier landscape organization for professionals involved in landscape design, construction and maintenance industry, promoting professionalism and an adherence to industry standards.

Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) - an organization set up by a few men who believed that sports turf managing could be improved by the sharing of knowledge and the exchange of ideas.

Georgia Department of Community Affairs - an organization that provides a variety of community development programs to help the state's communities realize their growth and development goals.

Georgia Water Advisory Committee - to help improve water resources management in Georgia, the U.S. and the world through innovative new research, education and technology.

Urban Ag Council - a nonprofit partnership created for the purpose of building a greater public awareness of urban agriculture and its environmental importance in supporting Georgia's natural systems.

American Sports Builders Association - an organization of contractors who recognized the need for help with mutual problems, setting up industry standards and keeping them informed on issues pertinent to the business.
