Zoysiagrass is a warm season perennial that creeps slowly by short rhizomes and stolons, or more commonly known as runners. All zoysias are shade tolerant and vary in how much sun is needed to live and thrive. Zeon has a fine blade and is the most shade tolerant. JaMur has a medium blade and is very drought tolerant. Meyer is the old standard, medium blade with excellent cold tolerance. El Toro is the widest of the medium blades and has excellent drought tolerance.
